Bringing the kitten home
Bringing your new kitten home — simple rules:
1. Limit the area — at first, let the kitten stay in one room or other limited space — better the one where you spend most of the time yourself; in the same room there should be a tray, a cat house, food/water, toys; let the kitten out to get acquainted with other areas gradually, under supervision;
2. Show the kitten the litter box — show where it is, you can even put him inside once or twice, and the kitten may use it right away; at first it is better to use the same litter as at the cattery
3. Make the kitten feel at home — anything from the cattery with a familiar smell will help — every kitten comes with a blanket leaving from our cattery
4. Provide the kitten with some kind of shelter: a cat house, a box, a carrier with an open door is good for these purposes; due to stress, the kitten may seek to hide in a safe place: under the sofa, behind a wardrobe etc. If the kitten is hiding, do not pursue it, give it time to calm down and recover
